Alchimie

We are a family-run organic cafe and chambre d’hôte in the market town of Prades in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of the south of France. We are located in the centre of Prades with shops, tourist office, free parking, the town square, bus and train station all within a few minutes’ walk.

Our chambres d’hôte rooms are light, airy and spacious. There are home from home touches to make your stay enjoyable and relaxing.

Our central location makes it easy to sample local cafés, restaurants and summer entertainment.

The cafe is open during the day serving organic produce; pressed to order juices,  fairtrade teas and coffees, as well as light lunches and a fantastic value menu du jour. We always have several vegetarian options available and will try to accommodate most dietary requirements.

We are an organic business – we heat our water using solar power, water-based biodegradable paints have been used to decorate, and we use electricity from renewable sources, as well as growing some of our own fruit, vegetables and herbs on our roof. For our suppliers we use the local organic farmers whenever possible. We believe that this area has some of the best products, and really hope that you will come and try them.
