The Café

The café offers many different services; juice bar, tea room, café, restaurant, internet and printing, international book library, permanent art display, private hire for functions, meetings and courses.

We offer fresh juice pressed to order, made from organic fruit and vegetables. The juices change with the seasons as the different fruits and vegetables become available. We are always happy to make a customised juice for you, if we have the ingredients – just ask!

Our range of hot drinks includes organic, fairtrade teas, infusions, hot chocolate and freshly ground coffee. Enjoy a cuppa with a slice of homemade cake or biscuit, while browsing through the local papers (French and English).

Homemade light snacks are available all day; sandwiches, soup, quiche etc. At lunch time we offer a fantastic value, 16€, 3 course “menu du Jour”, where you are given a choice for every course including vegetarian options. For an extra 4€ you can add a 25cl carafe of wine and a coffee to round off your meal. The menu changes once a week and uses fresh, organic seasonal produce.  A sample menu is:

We also offer 4 internet posts with a printing facility and head phones for listening to music or using skype.

We charge 1€ per 15 mins or part of, 10c per page for black and white printing and 20c per page for colour.
At the back of the café we have a lending library of books, mainly in English. We do not charge for the loan of the books but we ask that for every book that you borrow you either return that book or another to replace it. Any donations of books are gladly received.

We currently have a permanent art display by local artist, Mary Jose. All the paintings are for sale. If you are interested in any of them please contact the artist.

The café is also available for private hire. This could be for a family meal, a birthday party, business meeting or courses. The rental can be daytime or evening, with or with out catering. We have held events for the Rotary Club of Prades, The Plantula Bio Coop, training days for local businesses, and various private parties.
